Great spot! The drinks were tasty and strong!! The fish fritters and the shrimp with mango bbq were my favorite. On a weeknight I don't think you'll need a reservation unless you have a large group.
Excellent service - our waitress was really attentive and made good recommendations. The drinks were tasty and strong. I've had better rum punch uptown in Washington heights and Harlem, but this one was still pretty good. The fritters were a highlight as was the coconut sauce the fish was cooked in. Good amount of shrimp in the mango shrimp dish. I've had better oxtails overall, but these were still quite good and I liked how the cabbage was seasoned. Bread pudding was next level. Cute spot overall, would definitely go back, or order out from.
We must've came here a great night because I really enjoyed my experience here! First, there was not a wait but the customer service was great which you really don't get much of in NYC. Servers were friendly, patient and gave great recommendations. They also give you card games to play at dinner which I think is really cool! The vibe of the place at night is great with the music and scenery inside. They start you off with Banana chips which are a hit for many people! I had the Hennessy Shirley Temple that was strong and tasty! Also, not shown but I had the jerk shrimp with veggies, rice and peas and plantains. Plantains could've been better as far as cooked down more and a jerk sauce would've been nice but I overall enjoyed my meal! The wings and fries were tasty as well! I believe they have improved since the pandemic because service was great and I would go back!
I went here looking for wings, and I got the jerk flavored ones - delicious, very unique, almost a sweet taste to it. My wife fell in love with the black cake, which made her feel all kinds of nostalgic. The customer service was excellent. I'll be back.
I came here for dinner with my girl. Inside is really cute. They have a cute swing set and backdrop that makes for a fun boomerang or photo. The music was on point and the DJ had a nice vibe going. The food was really good. We both ordered the reggae pasta (Rasta pasta). I got mine with oxtail and she got garlic shrimp. I really enjoyed my dish. It was so flavorful and the oxtail meat was tender and wasn't fatty at all. I tried my girl's shrimp and it was really juicy. The drinks were strong but still delicious. They have hookah available for $45, which is already pricey, but then you also have to pay to refill the coal.
